According to a new study by CSO Platform for Reform, Selangor is the most democratic state in Malaysia. This is followed by Perak and Negeri Sembilan, while Sabah, Terengganu and Perlis fell in the bottom three. Tharma Pillai, the CSO Platform for Reform's Lead of the Parliament and State Legislative Assembly Reform component joined us in unpacking the findings and understanding the significance in upholding better state-level democracy.
