Society has taught us that our worth is measured by what we do, how productive or successful we are.
If our worth is measured by what we do and not by who we inherently are, self-care becomes really hard because if you rest, you’re considered lazy or unworthy.
We’re called selfish if we take time for ourselves but rest is vital for our wellbeing.
What would it be like if you reframed everything?
If your worth wasn’t based on your productivity but that who you innately are is already good enough?
What if taking care of yourself was an act of generosity?
Can we redefine taking care of ourselves not as selfish but as self-giving or self-generous?
In this episode I explore how our worth gets mixed up in what we do and why we don’t rest or take care of ourselves when our worth seemingly hinges on our productivity.
