Self-Care - Listening When the Body Says “No”

Listen Later

Over time, the research says our body takes a toll if we ignore setting boundaries in our lives. It shows up in the form of anxiety, depression, and potentially chronic illness.  Brian Norsman and Mark Odland talk about ways to honor your body and say no in loving ways that honor your friends and loved ones. One way to say no and set these boundaries is to learn to be an observer of your own experience.  Another is to be able to set the boundaries, practice saying no in the little things,  and do it in loving ways.  Letting go of the idea that we can save the world and letting others be responsible for their actions might be just the gift they need to thrive and bring the healthy balance of giving and receiving to our own lives.
