Self control. We've heard it time and time again. Just use self control. Just avoid the sugar. Just get up in the morning. If it were that easy, would there be a whole sector of the health field dedicated to eating well? If it were that easy, would health coaches and exercise coaches exist? But at the same time, self control IS a thing that we all have but may not be well versed in using. So is self control BS or is it something that we can learn to harness? As humans we have a part of our brain that other creatures do not, making it possible to override the comfort of status quo and develop a new status quo.
