Self-control actually has nothing to do with us, and has nothing to do with will power, it is the character of Christ that lives within us. Self-control is a protection, it is not a restriction, and it is a freedom not a bondage but it depends who is in control. A lack of self-control can make us vulnerable, chaotic, messy and impulsive, where we rely on what is our right and the woosh that comes with emotions.
