Loving yourself is one of the hardest things to do and a lot of us spend a lifetime learning how. When we eventually do, it’s the most rewarding. Many claim to already love themselves, but their actions say otherwise. Self love doesn’t just come overnight, it’s something gained through experiences. It’s a whole process, which I find beauty in. I’ve noticed that many of us seek love, affection, peace, healing, comfort, and happiness in temporary external materialistic things and other people instead of within ourselves. Why is that? Why do we need other people and things to make us feel loved, validated, and complete? How do we even know what true love actually is if we aren't loving ourselves unconditionally first? When a person lacks self love, they search elsewhere to find it, sometimes in the wrong places. Stop looking outward and instead find it within you, where it's always been. Do something nice for yourself today.
