Balance doesn’t mean putting others above yourself until you’re empty. That’s not noble — that’s burnout. And it doesn’t mean ignoring the people who rely on you either.
In this episode, I talk about balance through the lens of work and family. Walking away from plastering was the right move for my soul, and bills to pay, stepping back in for now is necessary. The difference is, I’m not chained to it anymore.
This is what I call the selflessly selfish balance: putting yourself first so you can actually show up for others. Not me or them — me first, so they get the best version of me.
