I check back in with Megan Rickerson, Operating Owner of Someday Bar + Restaurant in Brooklyn, 3 months into operating as a "To Go Only" business due to the Covid shutdown, and just as she opens up to host guests via Outdoor sidewalk seating in Phase 2.
Megan is also about a 10 minute walk from what was the center of the BLM protests that began at the end of May, so she provides insight into what it was like operating a business amidst all of the crowds, as well as the failures of the PPP program, and what she sees ahead as NYC enters a new phase for the bar and restaurant business.
Follow Someday bar @SomedayBarNYC on Instagram to check out the awesome bottle auctions she is doing to support her staff, and important local causes.
I catch up with Chris Maestro, owner of Brooklyn Craft Beer + HipHop DJ bar BIERWAX, voted #5 best beer bar in the US in the annual USA Today poll this year, to find out the innovative ways his business is surviving 2.5 months and counting into the Covid19 bar and restaurant shutdown.
