Senate votes to pay TSA workers, but when will airport lines ease

While the Senate voted to fund most of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on March 27, 2026, the bill stalled in the House. Instead, TSA workers are being paid through a Presidential Executive Order signed on March 28.
Airport lines are expected to begin easing as early as Monday, March 30, 2026, but a full return to "normal" wait times may take one to two weeks.
