There is a battle being fought in the heavenly realms. But, in the physical, the enemy fights against us using attrition warfare. This week we talk about the realness of being weary and flat out worn down by life and how we can combat it by remaining in the word and trusting in the strength of the Lord at work within us.
Storms in life is not a new topic. We've heard about taking shelter, hunkering down and riding them out...But what about grabbing ahold of the storm and riding it. This week we are talking about trusting the one who commands the winds and brings the lightning; the one who roars, and his voice is thunder. Rather than taking shelter, this time we're going to try putting on our armor, engaging in the fight and riding the tornado instead of watching the destruction fall around us.
We're back after a long summer and can't wait to catch up with you all. Tune in as we do a slightly past mid year check in of our words of the year and find out if things are going anywhere near what we had planned.
Sometimes we have to make the hard decision to leave some things behind and get rid of old things to make room for the new. Join us as we talk about forgetting past experiences in order to make a way for new.
If you're following Holy Week, tonight (Thursday) is the Lord's Supper, a celebration of the Passover. Tonight, we're talking about unexpected five-day weekends, Kristy's unexpected spring break experiences, and the unexpected events of the Last Supper. We go a little longer than usual in this episode, but hang in there with us because we promise, you don't want to miss this episode as we dive into the glory that can be found in the unexpected things of life.
A few notes:
We're reading from Matthew chapter 26 and the other scriptures referenced are found in Zechariah 13. The footnote takes you to 1 Kings 22:22 and Jeremiah 23:14-15.
The scripture that Kristy mentions from the Beth More podcast can be found in Acts 2:24 and states "God raised him up, ending the pains of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by death."
When Moses left the presence of God, he had to cover his face with a veil because his face was shining so brightly that it was terrifying people. Imagine how brightly we, as UNVEILED women of God, could be shining if we latched on to the freedom offered by living in the Spirit of God.
This week Amanda talks about finding this freedom by casting off lies she didn't even know that she was believing, and finally opening the gifts that God has been giving her.
Amanda and Kristy welcome their first special guest, Danette Duncan, to the podcast. She shares her powerful story of God's redemptive power and mercy after suffering the loss of her husband.
Kristy interviews Amanda and we discover how God is with us in the middle of the "dumpster fire" days. Amanda shares a little surfing knowledge that you can apply to your everyday life.
Revival is all around us and He is extending an invitation especially to those of us in 'the Motherhood'!
Have you ever found yourself falling short of the unattainable example of perfection that seems to be the Proverbs 31 woman? No? Just us? We are tackling comparison, shame & guilt today and what God says about the woman You are today!
