Send It Big!

Hey! Excited to have you hear about Andrew's training a little more and how he and his wife have been able to support each other in their goals. This episode was an amazing chance for me to talk with someone I found truly inspiring as a mountain athlete.

So! The long awaited (because of my greenhorn production skills) episode part two of my talk with Jon Beasley! Jon and I talked a little about how to approach senior leaders or bosses and make requests of them, how he's liking one of the Army's newest units, and of course, a little bit about climbing. Sup! So happy that I was able to get this episode out. Again, sorry for the audio quality on this recording, but I'm still really glad that we sat down and got it. In this episode, Dishaun and I talk a little about climbing community, ethics, and where he sees some of the sports problems and solutions. As someone that is a part of the larger climbing community, I really appreciated being able to talk about some of these more trying topics with an outdoor professional. I hope you enjoy the episode!

This episode we'll finish our series with Chris by talking more in-depth on how he sees his life changing with the birth of his little baby and what kinds of things he's learned getting ready for that. As an administrative note, I've quite obviously not been on schedule with these episodes. I want everyone to know that I'll be continuing to push this season and putting up content, but I'm actually about to move across the country. That event has been creating quite a lot of friction in my life, and so all I can promise right now is that I'll do my best to get episodes out to you guys without too long of gaps between. Hey everyone! I am so sorry for this coming out late, or at least late in my mind. As a one man band right now, there is definitely a learning curve with this podcast. That being said, I'm excited to introduce you to Chris! Chris is a buddy of mine that has gone on a number of adventures with me. From mountain biking, rock climbing and backcountry snowboarding, Chris and I like to get out and Send It together. Chris just had his first child and I know that's going to be a big adventure for him. This episode introduces us to Chris and his background as well as introducing us to Alanna, his wife and our mutual friend Eric. Together we have a great time, as at the time of recording, Chris was expecting to have a little one in his arms in just a few weeks! Happy to say that Alanna and the baby are happy and healthy.

Welcome back! Our second episode continues our conversation with Bill. He and I continue to talk about career, but the majority of the episode is focused on family and how he's balancing his life. Bill talks about quality over quantity with his two sons and how in his marriage, making a deliberate and focused effort to take care of each other makes a big difference. Glad to have you all back to wrap up this series with him!

In this inaugural episode of the podcast, we talk to a very good friend of mine, Bill Yang. Bill is a Major in the U.S. Army and has served in Ranger Regiment twice across his career. With nicknames like "WarMachine" and "Wild Bill", he is a prime example of someone getting out there to Send It Big.
