The Birth of the Wild Sensitive — When Sensitivity Grew Wings
Every movement begins with a moment of defiance. In this first episode, Randy and Annet share how the name Wild Sensitive was born, not from theory, but from lived experience. “HSP” and “HSS” never explained the magic that happens when sensitivity and sensation seeking fuse together, not just side by side, but creating something entirely new. That fusion is what we call the Wild Sensitive, a name that opened the door to freedom, possibility, and a wilder way of living.
In this episode, we also explain exactly what we mean when we talk about being a Wild Sensitive, why it’s more than just two traits combined, and why it matters. You’ll hear our vision for the podcast: to challenge the old myths, to explore the paradox of being both sensitive and bold, and to share stories, tools, and insights that help Wild Sensitives everywhere step fully into who they are.
Your thoughts, ideas, and suggestions for future topics mean the world to us. Reach out and join the conversation at wildsensitive.com, or connect with us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

A great conversation with dr. Tracy Cooper about the sensitive High Sensation Seeker (HSS) about the new research on how HSP relates to the HSS trait. They found in this research that 50 percent of all HSP's are to a certain level high sensation seeking. We talked about what the characteristics of the HSS trait are. How this shows up, how you can recognize it in yourself. What you need to thrive when you have both of these traits. How it shows up in men and in women and all other kinds of things that come up with these traits.

Welcome to Sensitive & Strong, a podcast exploring sensitivity, sensation seeking, and what it means to live deeply, courageously, and authentically.
The podcast began…
Then, in episode 23, Randy Grasser joined Annet as a guest.
At the time, neither of them knew where that conversation would eventually lead.
What began as one interview grew into many more conversations, a relationship, a shared body of work, and eventually the development of Wild Sensitive, their exploration of the intersection between Sensory Processing Sensitivity and High Sensation Seeking.
Today, Sensitive & Strong brings those two paths together.
Sensitive & Strong
Hosted by Annet, and sometimes joined by Randy, these interview-style episodes feature conversations with guests who bring their own knowledge, perspectives, experiences, and stories to the world of sensitivity.
The aim is to empower sensitive people to understand sensitivity as a natural and neutral human trait. With the right skills, tools, self-awareness, and emotional regulation, sensitive people can become strong, grounded, resilient, and fully engaged with life. The goal is not to retreat from the world, but to develop the confidence and capacity to meet it.
Wild Sensitive Conversations
In Wild Sensitive Conversations, Randy and Annet sit down together for open, honest, and often unconventional discussions about what happens when deep sensitivity meets High Sensation Seeking.
This is the territory of the Wild Sensitive, the Highly Sensitive Sensation Seeker (HSP-HSS), where sensitivity intersects with curiosity, intensity, novelty, adventure, and a desire to engage deeply with life.
These conversations move beyond familiar labels and coping advice to explore relationships, identity, emotions, beliefs, personal growth, and the paradox of being both deeply sensitive and drawn toward sensation.
Sometimes they agree. Sometimes they see things differently. Sometimes one question opens the door to an entirely new way of looking at sensitivity, sensation seeking, or life itself.
One podcast. Two styles of conversation. One place to explore what it means to feel deeply and live fully.
Sensitive & Strong is hosted by Annet van Duinen, Professional Certified Coach (PCC), pioneering author, and International Consultant on High Sensitivity, trained by Dr. Elaine Aron.
Wild Sensitive Conversations is hosted by Annet together with Randy Grasser, author, professionally certified Life Guide, and co-founder of Wild Sensitive. Randy brings a grounded, adventurous, and often unconventional perspective to conversations about sensitivity, identity, emotional strength, and engaging fully with life.
Together, Annet and Randy invite you beyond old labels and limiting ideas about sensitivity and sensation seeking.
Together, they bring you the Wild Sensitive.
