British Columbia premier David Eby has committed to scrapping the 'consumer carbon tax' as long as the federal government drops the federal backstop. Quite the change from a few months ago when Eby responded to a letter from Conservative Party of Canada leader Pierre Poilievre requesting the premier engage with Poilievre to help halt a carbon tax increase. Eby called Poilievre's initiative a "baloney factory."
