Mahsi Amini was an Iranian woman who challenged the Tehran regime's hijab laws. After being arrested by Iran's morality police Mahsi Amini died in hospital last Friday after spending three days in a coma. Demonstrations have continued across Iran as women set their hijabs on fire in protest and demand accountability for the death of Ms. Amini. Masih Alinejad is an Iranian journalist, author and women's rights campaigner. Hosts "Tablet" a talk show on Voice of America's Persian service. She has been repeatedly attacked by the Tehran regime. Last year police uncovered a kidnapping plot to force Alinejad back to Iran and in August police arrested a man who was repeatedly seen outside her home in her Brooklyn neighbourhood. The FBI arrested the man, finding a loaded AK47 with filed off serial numbers. On CNN Masih Alinejad told the Tehran regime "Go to hell. I'm not scared of you. I have only one life. You care about power. I care about dignity and my freedom like millions of other people in Iran. You can kill me, but you cannot kill the idea. The idea is just fighting for freedom, dignity."
