"PREEMIE, Lessons In Love, Life and Motherhood"
Guest: Kasey Mathews
Allen and Kasey Mathews discuss her riveting, honest, and often humorous memoir, PREEMIE which chronicles the
journey of one tiny baby's tenacious struggle to hold on to life and the mother who ultimately grows with
her. Kasey's journey began in November of 2000 when she thought she had given birth to the smallest baby ever
born. Her baby arrived four months prematurely, weighing one pound, eleven ounces. After her daughter was
born, she longed for a compassionate woman whom she could share her story with. It wouldn't matter how
different or similar our situations were, just to have someone who understood what it felt like to know
trauma. From beginning to end, PREEMIE will take you on a journey of hope, as well as finding solutions that
apply to our daily lives when the unexpected arrives on our doorstep.
