September is National Recovery Month, with events being put on by C-FORT (Cumberland-Fayetteville Opioid Response Team) members throughout the rest of this month.Cumberland County has seen a lot of progress in addressing its opioid crisis, seeing its largest one-year decrease in opioid deaths, dropping 26%, between 2023 and 2024, according to the most recent data from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
