We have now had both Sony and Microsoft present their games shows this week. Expectations should have been high for the State of Play but with a fanbase beaten down in submission, anything from first party, even a singular title, would have pacified the fanbase suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. And that's exactly what happened! Is Ghost of Yotei enough to justify years of anaemia from Playstation and its first party studios?
Xbox also had their Tokyo Game Show and Xbox fans were hoping for some big news, namely from Square Enix and the Final Fantasy series. Speculation swirled that Xbox would also show its rumoured handheld and none of that happened. Will this really move the needle for Xbox in a territory that its struggling in?
Preorders for the PS5 Pro went live and instantly the deluxe edition sold out. Scalpers are already marketing their spoils of war. Unfortunately, I wasn't one of the benefactors here. Lots of news otherwise to discuss and much more!
Joining me will be Rand Al Thor!
