We discuss the sequel to 2001: A Space Odyssey and Spike Jonze's Her, Ex Machina, with good buddy Rob Copeland. We discuss Artificial Intelligence as a trope in cinema along with the flaws and merits of Alex Garland's critical darling. And just for funsies, we pitch potential sequels for the intelligent android thriller.

On a special post-holidays episode, we sit down with our guests to discussion one of the most polarizing trilogies in modern cinema, the Wachowskis' baffling Matrix sequels: Reloaded & Revolutions. We compare it to the Nintendo 64, ask if young people today have ever heard of modems and question why God would create people with free-will if all he wanted was a loyal fan club. We try to get to the bottom of a very important question: are the Wachowskis hacks?

Matt & Manny relive the disappointment nearly every fan of Ghostbusters experienced when watching the sequel in theaters and on VHS, then they pitch an alternative that would have given audiences not 1 but 2 greater Ghostbusters sequels. Imagine a version where the Ghostbusters die at the end of 2, making you wait to see if they come back as themselves or ghosts in the finale of a trilogy. There's some good arguments in this episode as well, so that's a bonus if you're into hearing Matt & Manny fight!

In the inaugural episode of Sequelitis, Matt & Manny pitch an alternative to an entertaining but ultimately disappointing movie, Back to the Future 2. In their version, Doc steps into the wrong 1985, where he and Marty were never friends and his flying DeLorean fell into the wrong hands. With the help of a confused young McFly, Doc has to solve the mystery of how to fix the timeline by going back to the Future, twice!
