In the 1970’s, Rodney Alcala was bachelor #1 on the hit reality game show “The Dating Game” and was charming enough to win a date with the bachelorette. But what no one knew at the time was that while Alcala was winning a game show, writing for the LA Times and taking an interest in photography, he was also brutally raping and strangling young girls and women in California, New York, and other states across the US. Alcala used his charm and photography skills to manipulate young girls and boys into putting themselves into dangerous situations. Some of his crimes weren’t solved until 2016, and although he was convicted of murdering five people (including one twelve year old girl) it is believed he killed over 130 victims.
