CCU Professors Dr. Mark Mayfield and Dr. Andrea' Burden share some of their professional experiences as counselors, their passion to serve various communities, and what the Lord has done in their hearts and lives within the field of counseling.

Counseling students in all stages of the program will enjoy sitting at the table with her as they take us behind the scenes into their professional world, their walk with Christ, and their love for students in the CCU counseling program. They also talk through developing a theology of suffering, a critical component of our work with the hurting.

Through the conversation, Dr. Mayfield and Dr. Burden will encourage you through their characteristic joie de vivre to draw closer to Christ, consider communities that need your heart and skill, and focus on your growth and healing in encountering God through your work with clients. In the words of Dr. Burden, "Counseling has reminded me who I am and whose I am." This conversation will compel you to seek Christ's heart for you and your clients.
