Learning something and even becoming certified in it - is much different than actually applying a skill and having your business benefit from it. If you’re not the expert, find an expert - you’re paying for their expertise and not their certification.

I found Lean Six Sigma and wasn’t favorable of the Heavy Tools, long collection and analysis periods, and very process focused methods. And then I found Human Centered Design and Design Thinking Methods and fell in love with being able to quickly pivot to deliver higher value - immediately!

Whether you’re competing in jujitsu, or competing for market share, you have to be adaptive and openly ready to pivot.
