What is the language that the Lord finds pleasing? It is a language that is far different from the language we hear throughout our days in this world. So many times, we hear language that is unpleasing to God. We hear negative talk and destructive language. What if we could learn to speak a new language? Together, let’s look at the language of blessing. How can we speak blessing over one another? How can our words become a blessing to those who listen? It comes as we mediate upon the Lord. As our hearts become hearts that seek to bless, our words (and our actions) will follow our heart.

This winter, we will learn together this new language. We will look at different blessings in Scripture and see the impact those blessings had on the hearts of those who heard. We will learn not only to think about this new language, but how to start using it in our everyday life.

The New Covenant secures a people to God, yet to secure a people to Himself will cost the life of His Son.

Christmas celebrates the birth of the Christ child. The Messiah—the long-awaited king of the Jews—has arrived. The thread of redemption that weaves throughout the Bible has promised and now revealed this significant event in the plan of God. Like the Magi, let us worship the King.
