  • CLIP: The Answer to a Waterlogged Life
You are living in a generation that is addicted to the screen. Now, we all are. So it's not just you, but this generation is addicted to the screen. Just go to any restaurant and you'll see this proven out, right? Table after table, they're all sitting there, even families, and they're on the screens. That's a problem. This is the distracted generation. The average young person is unable to stay away from the screen for more than five minutes at a time, according to a study. Another study revealed that the average teen receives over 200 notifications every day. 200. You are inundated. You are being submerged with data. Waterlogged. So I ask you again, what is the answer to a waterlogged life? I will say it again. It's revival. The answer is you need. You need God's fire. You need God's power. You need God Himself. • By Faith — Why Is This Vital?
This sermon clip centers on the necessity and nature of faith as the foundation of a relationship with God, emphasizing that faith is not mere intellectual assent but a profound trust in God's character and promises despite the absence of visible evidence. It argues that the hidden, unseen nature of spiritual realities is intentional, preserving God's sovereignty and preventing humanity from elevating self to the throne of truth. Without faith, this clip contends, individuals inevitably place themselves as the ultimate authority, rejecting God's word and thus rendering themselves unable to please Him. True faith, therefore, is a daily surrender of human reason and sensory perception to the divine authority of Scripture, requiring continual dependence on God rather than on personal understanding. This living faith is not a one-time event but a sustained posture of trust that resists the flesh's tendency to usurp God's place. • Doubt, the Greatest of All Sin
You think, well, you mean God's going to send me to hell if I just don't believe? Yes. You know why? Because you are putting yourself in the place of God. No, I'm not. Yes, you are. Because you're saying, I don't believe what God says. Wait a second. Based on what? Based on me. I don't believe it. In other words, I am now the final authority. I am the one sitting in the judge's chair. I am taking the place of God. God is subject to me and my reasoning. Listen to the entire sermon: https://www.sermonaudio.com/sermons/1121251647282712

  • At the Graveside of Alan Cairns
I had the privilege of finally visiting the grave of my former pastor and mentor Dr. Alan Cairns in Northern Ireland. Due to COVID, very few were permitted to attend his funeral when he passed away. So, for me, this was my final way of honoring his memory.
