We're studying our way through the Book of Hebrews this summer! Today's installment covers Chapters 6-7, and it's all about how to build, or rebuild, a life. How important is this subject? Eternally important!

As we walk through the book of Hebrews, we find the author's challenge to not be like the ancient Israelites. They heard God's word, but didn't join their faith to what they heard, causing them to fail to enter into God's rest. This sermon encourages us to believe God's words, to make our response active and visible, and to thereby receive His rest.

The book of Hebrews is one of the richest in Scripture. This sermon kicks off a summer-long series on this book, highlighting the book's one central idea: Jesus is better! Better than the angels, and better than what the first listeners had experienced with Old Testament sacrifices. A better hope, a better promise, and a better sacrifice we can rest in!

This week we had three guest speakers. Three ladies from our congregation share three short sermons: Psalm 23, taking risks, and tearing down idols in our lives.

Josiah was the last "good king" of Judah, and his life is an incredible example of so many things that make for a full and godly life. From his youth, to his response to hearing God's word, to his basic "life plan," Josiah is a model for us all.

This next installment of "History Lessons" brings us to a king of Judah named Hezekiah. He is the turnaround king. He finds God's secret to seeing turnarounds in life, a reversal of the seemingly inevitable that brings him instead to a great future. That secret isn't so much a secret as we study the eventful reign of King Hezekiah.

Guest speaker Mike Rizzo, from the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, talks about relationship with God and what that truly means. He explores the concept of ‘until’. No matter what circumstances bring, will you be obedient to His will and persevere? Mike also looks into what it takes to go deeper in relationship with God and how that affects us.

Guest speaker Michael Cotten, speaks on how our perspective of the past effects our perspective of today. God uses us regardless of our past. When we look beyond our failures and shortcomings and allow God’s glory and light to come through that is when the world is affected by Him.
