Can we hear the Gospel asking us—even daring us, “Are you willing?” While this may at first make us angry, I pray that we can respond as Jesus did, with a resounding “Yes! We are willing!”

It is disruptive to believe that you are valuable as you truly are—because that means you no longer need to participate in practices that dominate others.

"What gives you deep joy and addressing the deep hunger of the world are not incompatible—they are one and the same."

God did not create human beings so that we could all become Christians. God, in Jesus, offered us the Gospel so that we could all learn how to be fully human together, so that we could finally lear to love each other. Love. Period. Everything else is commentary.

A common misperception about bullying is that it is about a big kid punching on a little kid. But the truth is, bullying is a mindset which creates a dangerous environment that the entire community participates in. It is the endorsement of a wider outlook on the world that believes that some people belong and others do not. For many, it’s even embedded in their theology.
