Romans 7 describes the inner turmoil of the Christian who, made aware of sin by the good Law of God, is powerless on their own to consistently overcome sin's presence within their "flesh," leading to a desperate cry for deliverance. For contemporary Christians, Dr. Larson affirms that the struggle against indwelling sin is a universal Christian experience, however God's Word shows us that the moral law is useful for revealing our sinfulness but ultimately pointing us to our essential need for Jesus Christ for rescue and victory.
