At the 2023 Foundations Conference, we sang exclusively from our newly-launched Foundations Psalter, based on the 1650 Scottish Psalter. It was a glorious and God-honoring experience.

I had the immense privilege of visiting the land of Scotland. I enjoyed visiting historical sites, worshipping with the saints, and even praying with one of the last surviving eyewitnesses of the 1950 Isle of Lewis revival. But there was one aspect of the trip that caught my attention. There was something particularly edifying about how the Scottish churches sang the psalms. According to Psalm 19:7-9, God's Word is perfect, sure, right, pure, clean, and true. If this is the case, no human author can outwrite it, outshine it, excel it, or improve upon it. It's already perfect, and purified seven times (Psalm 12:6). God has given us a divinely-inspired songbook that is meant to be sung through the ages. It unfortunate that many churches have no place for the Psalms in their worship at all. It is for this reason that we embarked on this project to produce one of the most deluxe and affordable renditions of the universally accepted 1650 Scottish Psalter in the hopes that it will appeal to churches far outside any single denomination. The 1650 Scottish Psalter is crafted with scholarship and devotion by some of the most godly men at the time. It is a GIFT to the English-speaking church and should be embraced as such. It is our desire to reintroduce this treasure of Scripture-based praise back into the worship of God among His people. **Visit the companion site:** https://www.foundationspsalter.com **Purchase your copy:** https://store.sermonaudio.com/products/foundations-psalter *Special thanks to Sean McDonald for his meticulous editing assistance with this project.*

**It's a Joint Resolution of United Prayer.** We are a dedicated and earnest group of individuals of all ages from around the world that meet for an hour each day (M-F @ 12pm ET) over Zoom to pray. It is a traditional prayer meeting that begins with a brief 10-min meditation followed by corporate prayer by all participants as time allows. This prayer meeting found its inspiration from the publication of "An Humble Attempt" written by Jonathan Edwards in 1748. Its design is to encourage God's people in the duty of united extraordinary prayer; setting aside some time to pray for the revival of His church and the advancement of Christ's kingdom in our homes, in our churches, in our nation, and in the world. In this short video, some of the participants of United Prayer share what this prayer call means to them in their own words. As much as we are thankful for the blessings of this call, it is a daily burden to keep the fires burning in our own hearts. **Learn more here:** www.sermonaudio.com/unitedprayer **Get the book:** www.sermonaudio.com/cfp

On a personal note, I think this conference is unique in that it brings together speakers from very different circles. Harold Vaughan is an old-time evangelist that has a burden for prayer and revival. I'm thankful for my friendship with him. Enlarge your tent, enjoy the blessing, and make friends of God's children. Harold Vaughan invites you to join us for The Foundations Conference in NYC, Dec 12-13, 2023. Speakers will include Steven Lawson, Joel Beeke, Alan Benson, Harold Vaughan, Ian Macleod, and Curtis Knapp. Now more than ever, God's people need to get serious about focusing on the foundations of ministry: *powerful preaching, united prayer, and God-honoring praise.* For this year, we will have the joy of singing some well-beloved psalms from our newly-published *Foundations Psalter* in Scripture-based praise. In an increasingly divided world, let us gather around these foundations of ministry and enjoy a season of fellowship, refreshment, and unity. **REGISTER NOW:** www.thefoundationsconference.com

On a personal note, I think this conference is unique in that it brings together speakers that are very well-known, and others that are not as much. Pastor Knapp pastors a small church in rural Kansas but warms my heart every time I hear him preach -- especially when he deals with the topic of prayer. Enlarge your tent, enjoy the blessing, and make friends of God's children. Curtis Knapp invites you to join us for The Foundations Conference in NYC, Dec 12-13, 2023. On November 8, 2023, the Samaritan Ministries' Director of Membership visited with us. As we talked, I thought it would be a good idea to turn on the camera and do some impromptu recording. We also took a trip to a local, respected family doctor of many years to get his opinion on health sharing. We trust this will be a help as you navigate through the difficult waters of healthcare.Learn about our partnership with Samaritan Ministries:www.sermonaudio.com/samaritan
