Who is -the Elect Lady- and who are her children and her elect sister- Why does John address his readers this way- In this second sermon of the series, Pastor Alan addresses the two great themes of 2 John- truth and love. Truth and Love help to keep our attention centered during a time of year when falsehood and selfishness might easily overwhelm us.

As a background to our series on 2 John, this sermon looks at the contrasting styles of Paul and John as a way of considering the inspiration of the written Word. It explores the style of John that engages our minds to think about Scripture and the Incarnate Word. Finally, Alan considers the incarnation of the eternal Son of God in history.
