Even after Judas witnessed Jesus perform many miracles, and was sitting at the table with Lazarus, who had just been raised from the dead by Jesus, all he could think about was money. How can we prevent this attitude of selfishness from invading our lives-

After Judas betrayed Jesus, the chief priests and pharisees conducted an illegal and unjust mock trial of Jesus. At the same time, Peter denies Christ openly and publicly, just as Jesus had predicted.

When Judas betrayed Jesus, causing Him to be arrested, it caused great fear among His disciples. But nothing takes God by surprise, and if we put our faith in Him we can trust that He will protect us.

The Pharisees and chief priests viewed Jesus' growing following as a threat to their power and influence, so they plotted to kill Him. We can prevent this type of attitude in our life by giving all glory to God and never trusting in our own accomplishments or works for salvation.

As the Pharisees persisted in their resistance of Jesus despite the growing mountain of evidence proving He was the Messiah, Jesus reiterated His deity and equality with God the Father.

Jesus is the Good Shepherd and knows each of His followers in a deeply personal and intimate way, so much so that He compares His relationship to believers as similar to that of Him and God the Father.

Jesus calls each of His sheep and has a caring, deep, and personal relationship with each follower. Jesus truly is the Good Shepherd.
