When the opportunity to share our faith arises we often wonder if we have said enough to cover all the essential information. This study of 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 considers Paul's statement of that which he called "of first importance" regarding the gospel.

Why should we share our faith? We have been reconciled to God through Christ and have been entrusted with this glorious message as ambassadors: an offering of peace! Soberly aware of a coming accounting before God, and constrained by Christ’s deep love for us, we seek to persuade people to receive God’s gracious gift.

God's plan for us will certainly put us in contact with people we find offensive. Jesus took his disciples into just such a place and then taught them how to respond. The disciples chose to ignore the people around them. Jesus rebuked his disciples, teaching them the joy of doing the will of the One who sent Jesus into the world. In this study of John 4 we are challenged to see the people around us as Jesus sees them and "Get with God's program."

Jesus was tired and hot from a 2 day journey, and found himself with some rare time alone. Soon however, a woman approached the well where He had sat down. We often get fearful when the opportunity arises to share the love of God. We worry that we might not represent God's message well. In this study from John 3, we learn that it is the Spirit of God Who changes the heart of the seeker. It is impossible for anyone to do this for anyone else or for themselves. In this study of John 3 we learn that our responsibility isn't the "good pitch" to close the sale, it is simply to be open to the work of the Holy Spirit.
