When the Pharisees rebuked Jesus for healing on the Sabbath, He explained that loving people is more important than arbitrary rules. Our connection to Jesus is demonstrated by the love we show to others when we invite them into the Kingdom.

When asked if many will be saved, Jesus encourages someone to strive for the “narrow gate.” What (or who) is the narrow gate and how are we to strive for it?

God expects those who abide in Christ to produce fruit. What happens when we stop producing fruit? Are we cut off or lifted up?

The Sabbath is often seen as a day of rest but that doesn’t mean that God isn’t working. Christ’s death on the cross allows us to rest knowing we can be loosed from our suffering.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that when bad things happen to people it’s because their sin is worse than yours. We’re all called to repent because Christ grace is equally available to all of us.

In Luke 12 Jesus speaks of a fire, a baptism, and a warning. Jesus never lies to us but prepares us for what’s coming.
