For three years Paul has desired to go to Rome to see the church there and proclaim the Gospel and now, at last, he has the opportunity. But the way Paul gets to Rome is probably not the way he expected. He travels on ship as a prisoner, and the trip is long and difficult. (Acts 19:21; 23:11) At first, Acts 27 may seem like no more than a detailed travel log of a trip gone wrong, but what we will see is that it is more than that: this chapter serves as a reminder that we have a God who makes and keeps promises and Paul is a great example of what it means to trust and proclaim the promises of God.

What do we do if we are not in awe of the fact that Jesus died? In this message we consider the significance and the weight if the death of Christ.
