The Wisemen were not discouraged by what they found when they went looking for the One born King of the Jews. Are we? A baby? In a small house? In a small town?

We have all seen a stump. And a shoot that can grow out of a stump. The Holy Spirit uses that image to teach us about Israel and Jesus. But what is the lesson?

We all enjoy an impressive messenger who has almost angel-like qualities. But what about when the messenger is no different than you are me?

Our past defines us and so routinely we find ourselves living there. But it is not a great place to live! In Christ we live in the present by looking toward the future!

There is nothing complicated about the return of Christ on the Last Day. We simply must be prepared. But how?

The world would keep itself first and foremost in our minds 24/7! And how satisfying is that?! It isn't. Not at all. Well what else should we think about? And why?

To travel from one country to another we need a passport. But what about that other country? The Kingdom of Heaven?

Through Jesus Christ, we became partakers of the divine nature of God. But how? And why?

We think we can know perfectly and completely. In fact, our knowledge is always partial and incomplete. So is it ever good enough?
