1st Session from our Big Day Out with Peter Currie.

As we continue our series in Daniel, we hear about visions given to Daniel of the future. As it is revealed to him what is to come, he sees persecution of God's people, but also sees that ultimately victory belongs to God who will give his people the Kingdom.

Today in the book of Daniel, we come to the very well known story of Daniel in the lions den. We see that God is the true King who can save his servants from certain death. This enables us, like Daniel, to endure exile with consistent and courageous faith in the living God.

As we continue our series on Daniel, we are introduced to a new king, Belshazzar who in his arrogance finds himself judged by the living God who holds the king's life in his hands. We also find ourselves in the hands of the living God, and though we are weighed and found wanting, we can rest safely in God's hands because of Jesus.

WE continue in our series in the book of Daniel, and we hear now from Nebuchadnezza as he recounts his personal experience of the wonders that the Most High God has done for him. As God humbles and then restores Nebuchadnezza, we see God as the King of Kings who is rich in mercy, breaking through our pride that we might know him as our King.

Today in Daniel 3, the focus is on Daniel's three friends who take a stand to worship God rather than giving into the pressure to give their allegiance to Babylon. We see that God is present with his people in Babylon, and that he is powerful to save people who cannot save themselves.
