The most important thing is focus on Jesus. When we're focused on Him, we can discover our calling, which may or may not be related to our vocation. Ultimately, it's important to see the kind of wake we leave in the world - what are the effects of doing the work we're called to do?

Often we get on the wrong path because we don’t see through God’s lens. We go down the wrong path and then we don’t realize it until we’ve gone so far that we don’t know where we are. But the Hope of the Cross is that God knows that we’re going to do that and He meets us there with Grace.

Not all of us have a great relationship with our fathers. Some are loving, others abusive, detached, or absent altogether. But that makes the promise of God as our Everlasting Father that much more glorious. He will never leave us or forsake us.

Wonderful Counselor is a hugely significant title. Jesus offers to totally change and transform our lives, but in order to see that realized, we must be honest with Him, especially in a world that doesn't always reward being honest and vulnerable.
