While Shabbat, and how we approach it, is most definitely not a salvation issue, it does reflect how we prioritize our relationship with our heavenly Father. In this week’s message, Brant finishes a series on what is undoubtedly one of the most visible commands — Shabbat observance. This gift, given by The Lord to the Jewish people, is also one into which He welcomes all nations – since Shabbat was made for humanity. It provides a day for celebration and for introspection to assess our Spiritual state and our attitudes.

In this week’s message, Brant focus is on Mat 12:1-8. What did Yeshua mean when he said, “something greater than the Temple is here”? When we forget the chesed of G-d, we can confuse the cup of our lives with our destiny and our identity, because we’re distracted by the things in our lives that don’t belong. We fail to see ourselves, and others, as we were meant to be — and we lose sight of what’s “greater.”

In this week’s message, using Moses’ life as example, Trey looked at hearing G-d and responding appropriately to it. Sometimes we mistake being called with being commissioned, like Moses did. He spent forty years in the wilderness before he encountered G-d and was commissioned to lead Israel out of Egypt. Moses herded sheep while he waited. What are you doing?

Yeshua’s message centered on chesed. As followers of Messiah, we all have the responsibility to be rav chesed, like our Master. In this week’s message, Brant teaches how we can all be rav chesed, that is “great in lovingkindess,” and bring glory to the Father through our faithfulness, our good deeds, and our distinctive callings.
