The New Covenant is superior because it produces new hearts, not just restricted behavior. Ministers of the New Covenant are validated by the gospel transformation in people's lives that God accomplishes through their ministry.

Serving God will often be discouraging, especially if we measure our success in ministry according to this world's standards. However, ministry is always victorious if done through and for God.

The Christian life may be characterized by the mutual pursuit of joy. Pure joy is founded in God's love for us, which when experienced, causes us to lovingly work for the joy of others. The path to joy will require some sorrow as we are grieved by sin and confront one another. However, when sorrow has borne the fruit of repentance and Christian fellowship is restored, then our collective joy is multiplied.

People will doubt your actions and question your motives—but gospel-shaped confidence flows not from performance or perception, but from integrity of conscience, the testimony of the Spirit, and the unchanging promises of God fulfilled in Christ. Because God is faithful, we can live simply, speak honestly, and serve others joyfully—for by faith we stand.

Life is filled with suffering, but for the believer, it has a purpose. They will learn to trust God rather than themselves, experience firsthand the power and comforting compassion of God, and have a rich opportunity to minister to others.

Ministry is a mutual mission of love in Christ Jesus. Every aspect of our planning, living, and interacting should be motivated and shaped by love as it is defined and described in God's Word.

Paul's instructions about the collection for the Jerusalem church provide a timeless pattern for Christian giving. Our weekly offerings should be purposeful, voluntary, and proportional to how God has blessed us. They should be handled with integrity and accountability, and above all, reflect a personal devotion—giving not just our money, but ourselves to the Lord and his people.

The new creation will be a glorious union of heaven and earth, and our current bodies will be resurrected in a new, incorruptible form suited to our new home. This new world and our place in it are a free gift flowing from Christ's victory over sin and death, so let us participate in it now through consistent and abundant work for the kingdom.

As Christians, we may find ourselves or others in times of depression or a spiritual drought.

When we are spiritually thirsty, we should:

1. Remember His work in the past (verses 4 and 6)
2. Pray to Him in the present (verse 8)
3. Have Hope in Him for the future (verses 5 and 11).

Jesus is the unlimited source of living water for all who believe in Him.

Solid food for our souls, to strengthen our faith.
