Date: Sunday, February 2 Text: Luke 14:25-33 Synopsis: The call to be a disciple is a call to be totally devoted. We are called to count cost and prepare ourselves for where the Kingdom will lead us.

It’s not about showing people how good we are - it’s about showing them how good God is.

We can’t sustain our lives on what is temporary - only on what is eternal. We don’t need more money…we need more Jesus.

Being a celebrity—or just having your name be known—can feel pretty good. But is it fulfilling? When the fame fades, what are we left with? Let’s chase something that lasts together in this week’s Chasing Carrots message!

This psalm has reminded us of the faithfulness of God. The peace that comes when we are obedient to him and put His mission first in our lives. We see the fulfillment of God’s faithfulness in Jesus Christ.

In the chaos and the "messy" of life, God is here and He is doing great things in our midst. We see this in the coming of the Christ-child.

You may be looking for God to show up in the midst of your unmet expectations and we have to remember that he did indeed show up…and he continues to show up.
