  • The Reality of Hell
In this lesson, we are concluding our three-part series discussing what happens after death. So far we have seen that the afterlife is a reality, so death is not the end. We have also seen that Heaven awaits those who are faithful. But what about those who are not faithful? They will be in another place, and it is important for us to take warning. So we are going to conclude this series by considering the reality of Hell.

  • The Reality of Heaven
In the previous lesson, we began a series looking at the reality of the afterlife. Our spirits will go to Hades to await the final judgment. After that, we will go to either Heaven or Hell. It is critical that we do what is necessary to get to Heaven. Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us. We need to be sure we take advantage of that. But why is this place so desirable? And what do we need to do to get there? We will discuss this in this lesson.

  • The Reality of the Afterlife
Death is a sad reality of life, but what happens after death? Last year we spent a lesson answering this question. This lesson is the first of a three-part series in which we will go into the topic a little deeper. Many people wonder about this, so it could provide an opportunity to talk to them about spiritual matters. In this first lesson, we are going to talk about the reality of the afterlife.

  • The Gates of Hades Will Not Prevail
In this passage, Jesus asked His disciples what others said about Him and what they said (Matthew 16:13-15). Peter confessed that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the living God (Matthew 16:16). This was the basis for Jesus’ promise to build His church (Matthew 16:18). He then said that not even “the gates of Hades” would “overpower it” or “prevail against it” (KJV). Hades is the realm of departed spirits (cf. Luke 16:19-31). Jesus’ point was this – death was not going to stop His plan for His church. In this lesson, we are going to notice four ways in which this is true.

  • Little Faith
Jesus spoke of some as having great faith and others having little faith. In the previous lesson, we examined great faith which recognizes one’s own unworthiness and the power and authority of Jesus and refuses to be turned away from Christ or be offended by Him. In this lesson, we will examine what it means to have little faith. All of us need to examine ourselves and see how we can improve.

  • Great Faith
Jesus spoke of some having great faith and others having little faith. What is the difference between these two types of faith? As Christians, if we examine ourselves, we will likely find ways in which we fit into both categories. Where we have great faith, we must continue. Where we have little faith, we must improve. In the next two lessons, we will consider the difference between great faith and little faith. For this lesson, we are going to see what the Bible calls great faith.

  • Letter to the Church in Laodicea
This is the seventh and final lesson in a series on the seven churches of Asia addressed in Revelation 2-3. Through John, Jesus sent a letter to each church, which He also shared with the others and with us as well. The letters described challenges they were facing, what they were doing well, what they needed to correct, and more. In studying these seven letters, every church can find encouragement and/or warnings that apply to them. We will notice these are we go through our study.
