This passage from The Sermon on the Mount talks about false prophets and how we can tell whether someone is speaking for God by the spiritual fruit that their lives produce.
Sometimes, we tend to say we are waiting on God to reveal Himself to us, but Jesus instructs us in this section of the Sermon on the Mount to actively seek God.
"Do not be anxious...; consider the birds of the air...; seek first His kingdom..." This section of Jesus' teaching in the Sermon on the Mount contains some beautiful imagery and powerful lessons. Senior Minister Dan Toney preaches on Matthew chapter 6.
"Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." -- Matthew 6:21 (NIV)
Where is your focus? What do you treasure? Dan explores the idea that we are wasting our time if our money, time, and energy are solely devoted to worldly things.
We might not like to talk about our money, but we must if we choose to pay attention to the things Jesus taught. Nothing gets between Jesus and His people more than their money. Our Youth Minister, Jordan Andler, talks about what a generous life can do for us and for the world.
