In our third and final sermon of the "Blessed, Broken, Given" series, we consider the difficult topic of brokenness. How does God will brokenness? How is brokenness for our good? Luke 22 (verse 19) and Hebrews 9 (verses 13-14) depict a God in complete control of even the worst of our experiences; a God who is working both to bring us growth and to give Him glory.

Continuing our series titled "Blessed, Broken, Given", we see in Genesis 1 God's ability to take our brokeness and turn it into blessedness. In Christ Jesus, we are not only restored, we are "re-story-ed".

Luke 9 shows us that in the hands a Jesus a desolate place can become a place of abundance, a desert can become a banquet, and not enough can end with more than enough.

When considering our destination, we must ask ourselves how we respond when we feel we're faltering in our progress. Are we discouraged? Or are we trusting in the hope that God is guiding our path towards a destination most glorifying to Him and more fulfilling than we could ever imagine.

A new year, but still the same wonderful God. What will your focus be fixed upon this year?

After a brief break from this series, Pastor John brings us back to the book of Proverbs for a look at chapter 15 (verse 22). This chapter helps us to see the importance of seeking wise council, and being humble to accept advice and correction within our lives.

As we approach the end of Advent season, we are reminded that the greatest gift of all was not wrapped in a box with a bow. He was wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. The Son of God, sent to save the world.

What is joy? And how do we hold onto it when we find it? Pastor Alex uses Mary's Song of Praise in Luke chapter 1 to show us the believer in Christ's ultimate and unquencable source of joy.

As we approach Christmas, we look at Luke 2:1-20 to remind ourselves that true peace and joy can only truly be found in the daily assurance that God is with us.
