Florence Mackenzie kicks of our Big Church Weekend titled Bloom Where Nothing Grows. She looks at how God sometimes leads his people into the Wilderness. When we find in such a place, she reminds us not to be afraid. She gives several pointers on how we learn to wait, trusting that God will bring our time in the Wilderness to an end.

Derek explains from Psalm 19 that God's glory is revealed in a general way through creation. God reveals himself specially through the Law. God reveals also those thing about us that we need to change. He does all this so that people might see the glory of God.

Vijay looks at the Lord's letter to the Church in Philadelphia (Rev 3:7-13) in his series 'Postcards for Plodders'. The letter reminds us that perseverance is about holding on to Christ when you persecuted for his sake. When suffering remember that you are loved by Jesus, that he preserves you and will reward you. For the kid's slot, David Young looks at the story of Eutyches in the Bible and tells us about the amazing power of God.

Vijay looks at the letter of Christ to the the church in Sardis (Revelation 3.1-6). He reminds us that although routines and rituals are wonderful habits that form us spiritually, the people of God need to guard against 'spiritual sleepwalking'. It is when the believer or church are going through the motions of faith without conviction and a love for Christ.

Continuing his series on the Book of Revelation, Vijay looks at the letter sent to Thyatira (Rev 2.18-29). The insight from the letter he focuses on is that the love the follower of Jesus is called to exercise must be rooted in truth of Scriptures revealed in Jesus. Dave & Cheri conclude their series for children. They remind us that the Book of Acts ends not with a sense of finality, but as if it is the beginning of something bigger. It ends with the invitation to see ourselves and part of what began with the ascension of Christ.
