This is the continuation of the previous lesson as we strive to motivate each one to begin the new year is a positive way as we examine thoughts express by the apostle Paul in Philippians 3:12-14.

This is a "season of giving" so why not think about our giving to God? How are we doing in this area of giving? Are we faithfully giving God of our time, talents, fiances, and SELF? This lesson will encourage us to strive to do just that.

Study with us as we examine our text (1 Peter 1:3-9) as Peter reminds Christians that we have cause to rejoice in good times and bad times. Attitude has much to do with gratitude, so we are reminded of how to keep our priorities in line with where the "directions" (God's word) show us where they need to be.

King David, in our text (Psalm 103:1-5), shows a great example of a heart of thanksgiving. Certainly, we too have much to be thankful for ourselves, especially God's children (Christians). However, we need to make sure we are thankful to the right somebody (God) and remember to be thankful for the right reasons. This lesson encourages us to live a life of THANKSLIVING!
