Like a football coach, John tells us we can't just "talk the talk," we need to "walk the walk." In other words, your life must match your confession. This message unpacks what it means to walk in the light and how our collapse under the light of the law is actually a good thing.

We can only accurately view ourselves when we understand that God is Light (holy). Once we see that our only resource to walk in the light of God is the blood of Christ that cleanses us from our sin, we can relate to others not according to their sin, but according to Christ's forgiveness for us.

A Christian's joy isn't because your life is free from sadness, it's joy in spite of your sadness. This message looks at how the Christian's joy comes from fellowship with God, not life's seasons and circumstances. It's in our fellowship with God that we hear and receive the assurance of grace, and where God leads us to drink with joy from the wells of salvation.

We begin a new series that explores the disconnect we often feel between our faith and real life. "Grace on the Ground" looks at how the reality of grace connects with our real life in a real world. Part one looks at how the life in Christ isn't mere existence, but rather we are made alive to the realities of the gospel that have deep implication in a world gone wrong.

A distinctive of the Church is love; the Church should be known by love. And while we do show love to others, the love the Church is known for is the perfect and absolute love received from God that flows to unlovely people who make up the Church.
