Many are uninterested in accountability, responsibility, and sacrifice.  As part of the universal church, is it necessary to be part of a local church?  Is church membership even biblical? Join us in learning why God commands us to forsake not the assembly and be part of a local church.

How do we preach? Do we get to choose the topic based on our interests? Are we supposed to think of what we believe the church needs to hear and tailor our sermons accordingly? What does it mean to be a faithful preacher/ messenger of God? Does pastoring have to do with making sure that the sermon is effective in getting more and more people to come to church? Maybe you're wondering what a healthy or faithful church looks like?

We would like to invite you to join us as we tackle some Core Values that we believe churches must have, to ensure the faithfulness of the entire congregation towards the Lord Jesus Christ.

New Year's Resolutions are very common every January. And as cliche as it may sound, many churches rightly maximize this yearly new year mindset by preaching sermons on resolutions. However, we would like to take a slightly different approach. Instead of having resolutions, why not make 2020 make a "year of foundations" instead?

Many times, we start the new year strong and excited and end the year exhausted, discouraged, barely surviving, and disillusioned. We often wonder if we're really on track, or if we have drifted from our goals.

In this sermon, we examine the Beatitudes in relation to our Great Mission as disciples of Christ. We go through each beatitude with the intention of doing a self-check if we are truly still following Christ and the purpose for which He sent us, or if we have somehow derailed. Ultimately, our goal and purpose is to come back to Christ with a renewed sense of purpose and excitement for the coming year.

Are we as eager to know Him as eager as He was to come and save us? It always feels unfair and unnatural when we think of the perfect love He shows us, compared to our imperfect love for Him. However, that is the whole point of grace and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How are our spiritual disciplines? Faith, prayer, bible reading, fellowship, and evangelism? Are we still enjoying and delighting? Or has the many issues and comforts and distractions of the world overwhelmed our spiritual appetites? Perhaps you feel desperate... deep down, you know that you're supposed to reading Scripture and meditating, but your heart is just not into it. What to do?

To praise God is the work of a redeemed heart. It is an intentional act driven by our knowledge of who God is and his actions toward His people. As we receive from God things that we do not deserve, let us reciprocate by expressing both in words and actions the praise He deserves that we often fail to give.

How can we trust a God who we might feel is far away? How can we learn to trust a God who is so big and sovereign but does not exactly tell us how to live our lives with specifics? We have a tendency to look for exact and specific instructions for life. But when it comes to our faith, much of it has to do with prayer and living out how we understand and interpret His Word. Still, there is a substantial amount of vagueness.   In this sermon, we hope to encourage everyone that there is indeed reason to trust Him, and in such a way that is reasonable at profound at the same time.
