Mark 1: 9-15

In Mark 1:9–15, we see Jesus baptized, affirmed by the Father, filled with the Holy Spirit, and led into the wilderness to be tempted by Satan. Yet where Adam failed and Israel failed, Jesus Christ triumphed.

This passage reveals Christ as the perfect and obedient Son of God who entered into the wilderness and faced temptation, suffering, and opposition without sin. Jesus did what we could never do—He perfectly obeyed God and accomplished the victory necessary for the salvation of His people.
