  • 08 How To Build A Fire
The Way of Wisdom || How to Build a Fire
In this sermon, Pastor Clint looks at Proverbs 5 and 6:20-7:27. Solomon has been exhorting readers to pursue wisdom and flee from folly in various ways. He now turns his attention to the allurement of sexual immorality and the dangers of adultery. Sex is a gift from God to be enjoyed according to his design. Like many things in life, sex needs both form and freedom, boundaries and liberation. Like a fire needs a fireplace to provide warmth in the home, so sex needs a fireplace to burn safely and brightly. Anything that deviates from God's design is a distortion and leads to negative consequences. What does it look like to flee sexual temptation and live a life of purity before God? Such a life must flow out of a heart transformed by his grace. Listen and be challenge to pursue God's design for human sexuality.

  • 07 Two Ways To Live
The Way of Wisdom || Two Ways To Live
In this sermon Pastor Clint walks through Proverbs 4. We are all walking down one of two paths; the way of wisdom or the way of foolishness. Which path are you on? While the decision is simple, it's certainly not easy. Wisdom isn't hard to find, it's hard to pursue. So how do we pursue wisdom? It's not a matter of just trying harder, but a matter of a heart transformed by the Gospel.

  • 05 Not Quite What I Was Planning
The Way of Wisdom || Not Quite What I Was Planning
In this sermon, guest preacher, David Butler looks at Proverbs 3:1-12 as we continue our Summer Series through the Proverbs. Even as we pursue godly wisdom we are faced with endless unknowns. What will tomorrow bring? Will our plans turn out the way we expect? What happens when they don't? Such questions can reveal the anxiety of our hearts. It's here where Proverbs tells us to trust not in ourselves but in The LORD who makes our paths straight.

In this sermon our friend and guest Steven Castello walks us through Proverb 2:1-22 where we are called to pursue wisdom with all we've got, embrace wisdom as a loyal companion, apply wisdom to life's most pressing issues, and ultimately look to Jesus as our true wisdom.

  • 03 He Who Has An Ear
The Way of Wisdom || He Who Has an Ear
In this sermon, Pastor Kevin looks at Proverbs 1:20-33. Wisdom is personified as a woman who cries out to the foolish who hear the truth but neglect obedience. The cry of wisdom shows the compassion and patience of God for those who are foolish. But that patience is not limitless. This passage serves as a warning not to neglect the call of wisdom. If so, the realization of God’s truth may not come until it is too late.

  • 02 Unintended Consequences
The Way of Wisdom || Unintended Consequences
In this sermon, Pastor Clint looks at Proverbs 1:8-19. Solomon gives a fatherly appeal to the reader not to forsake wise instruction and teaching. This passage shows us that to live wisely means we must be careful not to be enticed by those who pursue evil and are greedy for unjust gain. While such pursuits may seem like a pathway to joy, they ultimately lead to death. How does genuine community serve to guard us against the false promises of a counterfeit community?

  • 01 The Beginning Of Wisdom
The Way of Wisdom || The Beginning of Wisdom
Pastor Clint kicks off our summer sermon series Proverbs: The Way of Wisdom. The first seven verses in the Book of Proverbs give us an introduction and overview of the book. The purpose of these writings is that readers may gain wisdom. But what is wisdom? And where does it come from? How do we gain this wisdom? Those are the questions Proverbs 1:1-7 answer. In doing so they point us to a reverential awe of God that translates into a life lived for him.

  • 06 Something Greater
God's Relentless Pursuit || Something Greater
In this sermon, Pastor Clint finishes our series on the book of Jonah. We have finished walking through the narrative of the Book of Jonah, but there's more to be said. This message looks at the Book of Jonah in light of the good news of Jesus Christ. Jesus tells us that all of the Old Testament, including The Book of Jonah, bears witness to him. So what does Jonah have to do with Jesus? How does the Book of Jonah point us to Jesus Christ as the true and greater Prophet, Priest, and King? In Matthew 12 Jesus answers these questions for us.
