  • 01 I Believe...
    We Believe || I Believe
    The Apostles' Creed begins with the words, "I believe." In this sermon, Pastor Clint talks about what it means to believe—how to respond to the gospel. Belief extends beyond mere knowledge. Our beliefs tie deeply to our emotions and motivate our actions. Throughout the Bible, three important words are used to help us see the trifold response to the Gospel that God requires -- Repent. Believe. Turn. To truly and fully believe is to Repent, Believe, and Turn.

  • 02 Vision - Looking Forward To 2019
    Prayer & Vision 2019 || Vision
    In this sermon, Pastor Clint explores the vision God has for his church, particularly Seven Mile Waltham. Vision is a picture of what could be with the conviction that it should be. In Luke 14:15-24, Jesus casts the vision of a feast hosted by a God who sends his servants to invite anyone and everyone to his table.

  • 01 Prayer - Looking Back On 2018 (Nehemiah's Prayer)
    Prayer & Vision 2019 || Prayer
    In this short sermon, Pastor Jeremy preaches on Nehemiah 1:1-11, exploring Nehemiah's foundational prayer. The book of Nehemiah outlines the faithfulness of God and how it’s experienced to its fullest by those who rely on him particularly through prayer. Nehemiah presents a robust picture of prayer as he processes grief with God, takes a posture of humility, relies on God's sure promises, and petitions him to act. What would it look like if we reflected back on 2018 and entered 2019 with this kind of prayer?

  • 04 Mary - Advent
    The Mothers of Jesus || Mary
    In this sermon, Kevin finishes our 2018 Advent Series on the Mothers of Jesus. Mary lived in the city of Galilee when an angel of God visited her, telling her that she would give birth to the Savior of the world. As a young, engaged virgin, she was perplexed but accepted the Lord's will that she would bear his Son. Her submission to God came with consequences. Mary visibly wore a sign of that submission as an unmarried pregnant woman—a provocative situation in her culture. She almost lost her fiancé and would eventually watch her son die on a cross. Yet God in his kindness would not only preserve her marriage, but resurrect her son with the promise of true peace on earth.

  • 03 Ruth - Advent
    The Mothers of Jesus || Ruth
    In this sermon we look at Ruth's story (Ruth 1-4). Ruth was a widowed foreigner living in Bethlehem with her widowed mother-in-law. They were destitute and starving. She happened upon the field of a generous landowner who provided for both her and her mother-in-law. She ended up marrying him, finding both love and security for her and her family. Her story ends with the birth of a child--the grandfather of King David. But Ruth's line continues all the way to the birth of Jesus in the very town where she had lived. Jesus, the promised redeemer and King who would restore all that's been lost and broken.

  • 02 Rahab - Advent
    The Mothers of Jesus || Rahab
    In this sermon we look at Rahab's story (Joshua 2 / 6). Rahab was a prostitute in the city of Jericho, a land that God had promised the people of Israel. In a faithless land, she was treated as if she was worthless. Yet she had faith in God and helped his people escape death as they spied out the land. Her one request was that she and her family would be spared in the impending destruction of the city. The men returned for her and saved her and her family. God's salvation didn't end there. Rahab's story points to a God who returns to save those who have faith in him. A Savior who would once and for all heal the hurt.

  • 01 Tamar - Advent
    The Mothers of Jesus || Tamar
    In this sermon we look at Tamar's story (Genesis 38). Tamar was widowed twice, full of shame and hopelessness. In a broken system where those charged to provide for widows shirked their responsibility, she seduced her father-in-law as means of forcing him to provide for her. All the while, God saw her pain and was doing something beyond what she could ever imagine. Tamar's story points to a God with a plan to bring hope through the hopeless.

    Faith Works || Prayer / Power - James 5:13-20
    In this sermon Pastor Kevin looks at James 5:13-20 and the juxtaposition of Prayer and Power. James closes his letter with a call to powerful prayer. Whether for suffering, sickness or any other need, how can we pray in power? James says powerful prayer happens when Christians pray in community, in all circumstances and in the same faith that God's people have held throughout the ages.

  • 09 Suffering / Comfort
    Faith Works || Suffering / Comfort - James 5:7-12
    In this sermon, Pastor Clint looks at James 5:7-12 and the juxtaposition of Suffering and Comfort. Suffering and Comfort appear to be diametrically opposed. In a world filled with disease, division, and disenfranchisement, true comfort seems elusive. In your hardest times, where do you turn for comfort? In this passage, James is going to show us that there truly is comfort for the suffering. James points to a comfort based in real hope, promised by a faithful God.

  • 08 Insecurity / Security
    Faith Works || Insecurity / Security - James 4:11-5:6
    In this sermon, Pastor Clint looks at James 4:11-5:6 and the juxtaposition of Insecurity and Security. What does it take for you to feel secure? The right people in power? Fool-proof plans for the future? Possessions? None of these are bad in and of themselves. But on the heels of addressing our pride, in this passage, James is going to challenge our definition of security. James points to a security that supersedes our insecurity—a lasting and holy security, rooted in the will of God.
