What expectations should we have for living with Jesus? Should we be optimists, pessimists or something else.

Daniel 8 helps us find balance and strength to endure when life is hard

God's people are defeated, the temple ransacked and the brightest of their young people deported.

How can they believe in a God who lest Jerusalem fall? How can we believe in a God who gives our life circumstances to us?

How can the exiled people stay faithful to God in Babylon? How can we stay faithful to God in a hostile world

• Where are you in danger of assimilating into the world?
  • How could you resolve to stay faithful to God?
