We worship God not just with songs and words, but with our very hearts. When we take refuge in God we declare our affection for Him and this is how we may worship Him.

God’s character gives us hope in every circumstance in life. Not just a vacuous hope in the sky, but a real tangible hope that as followers of Christ we can know every day.

Depression, grief, and sorrow are real feelings that God intends for us to feel. But these feelings should not cripple us or stagnate our faith – they should drive us into the presence of God in worship!

God’s majesty is revealed in how He sovereignly acts, how He has created, and how He sustains His creation. His majesty makes Him worthy of our praise.

Jesus did not bring some general form of peace to all of humanity – He delivered peace between rebellious humanity and God. It is that peace that pours over into the lives of those who follow Him.

Jesus’ death on the cross was no mere event in history, it was the culmination of God’s plan from before the beginning. That plan was that humanity would be created and reconciled to God in a relationship of Peace.

Jesus’ endures sorrow and anguish as the God-ordained path lies before Him. Yet, He knows that it is this path that brings reconciliation between us and the Father – a peace that could be obtained no other way.

Jesus promises the Disciples and us that it is only through him and in him that we will experience true, lasting joy and peace. Jesus has reconciled us to the Father and the Holy Spirit will align our affections with Him!

Jesus loves Judas despite his betrayal and he loves Peter despite his denial. The love Jesus demonstrates is uniquely characteristic of God and His Holy Spirit produces this love in us so that the world will glorify Jesus!
